I'll post pictures of the dress when I get closer to finishing. It's the Meg Ryan lookalike dress. Honestly, I LOVE this fabric. It's heavy but so smooth against the skin and has washed like a dream. I can't believe it's machine washable. Can I say I've fallen in love with Rayon Double Knit without being thought of as my grandmother???

I didn't finish
This seems to be becoming a trend... I entered the knit contest on PR and ran out of time. I got as close as the hem. Oh, well. I know since I have a meeting tomorrow night I'll be a couple of hours short. But, I will finish it in time to wear it Friday night for a party. Now, if I could only get some new shoes.

Our dog Chloe. (a.k.a.- our girl)
I thought I'd show you some pictures of our beastess, Chloe. She's a Red & White Irish Setter and coincidentally, the apple of our eyes. Since we don't have children, this is the closest we get to spoiling our child. No, she doesn't have eye issues but was caught in mid-blink because of the flash.
Lance, my husband, has taught her to sleep on the bed much to my chagrin. It's not an attractive picture but definitely telling!

My knitting project
Like I can't get enough of sewing, this is the sweater I started a few weeks ago. It's a Berroco by Norah Gaughan. (Photo courtesy Berroco) After taking it apart about a dozen times, I think it might actually be finished soon. Expert knitters (much better than I) had difficulty with the front portion and I still don't know if it's right. Ask me why I choose to make an intermediate which should have been termed difficult. I hope it fits after all of this!
The yarn is Plymouth Yarn called Royal Silk Merino. It has a great sheen and doesn't itch at all.
Knit Sewing Contest in PR
When I saw this dress from a Meg Ryan movie, I knew it was for me. (photo from Meg Ryan Network)
I'm working on a morph of these patterns
The fabric is from Gorgeous Fabrics. It's a double knit and not your grandmothers double knit but a soft rayon that's machine washable.
The dress will be lined with power net in black for the top and cream for the skirt. I haven't decided if I'm going to omit the zipper yet. Stay tuned for updates.

A real knitting project
Here's a REALLY bad picture of me being way too tired and having to go someplace. If I'd only known how bad I looked, I wouldn't have taken this photo. But, since it's the only one I have of this wrap, it will have to do.
This is my first real knitting project that I completed. It is basically knit with 4 different weight yarns. The pattern is from Queenland Collection by Jane Ellison. Wrap
I've gotten yarn to make this sweater and after a night of intense insomnia took it apart after having most of one sleeve finished. The bell was much too big for my taste. Now the weather is improving and I'm on to a spring project.
The newest project is the Mobius knit from white Royal Silk Merino (now a discontinued color).
Burda WOF Blouse
Updated picture of me in the blouse. I didn't realize I was so shiny!!!
I finally finished another project that wasn't planned. I'd been lusting after this voile since last year and it finally went on sale at Gorgeous Fabrics. Well, I hand washed it and air dried this lovely piece but when I got ready to use it to make a skirt, there was a darned area right in the pattern. Unfortunately, I wanted to get started on the fabric so I used this pattern. Gorgeous fabrics replaced the piece (thank you!!!!) so now I have enough to make a slightly smaller skirt.
Tie in the front. Since the machine is now sufficiently fixed, the buttonholes will not be shown. I hate the way they look.
The shirt has french seams and small hems since it raveled like a b----.
